bamboo forest and fractal temple

300 LED lighting bars throughout a space were painstakingly mapped with little to no specs on exact placement prior to them being installed. The process of mapping them took about a week and was worth it for the stunning and sweeping effects we are able to program into them.

in addition, the floors are projection mapped with generative smoke effects that interact with the guests as they pass through the space. This is due to interactive cameras overhead that allow for the interactions with the projected content.

this room also serves as a payoff when the puzzle in the larger space is completed, triggering the bamboo to come alive with an exciting animation payoff.

bamboo forest

fractal temple

this space serves as the venue and stage within otherworld and is directly adjacent to the bamboo forest. the 1400 square foot space is also covered in projection mapped content, and the woodcut facade is recessed with tons of addressable LEDs. The LEDs are all mapped spacially as well, and all is part of a larger system to allow for live control for live performances and has robust content management for special events. The usual content is also generative and interactive to be controlled by similar sensors and motion tracking as the bamboo forest.

this project required another several days for a full mapping of the LEDs due to the complexity of the panels.
